Self-introduction
In 1986 I have met with IT, when I purchased Enterprise 128 computer. After this I have gone through the generation of home computers. I had a ZX Spectrum and later more different types of Commodore computers. The first IBM compatible (SX386) computer I have purchased and build it by myself in 1989. The following years after I have walked through all generation of PC’s. Other than the new technologies I also got to know older ones and I have built more XT based computers for my friends with MFM connection HDD’s.
First, I have worked with computers officially in 2000 when I was employed for a few months to a computer shop, and a few months later I founded my own IT business. Until 2008 the business have been developed own efforts, but unfortunately at the time of the global economic crisis has made us and our size is reduced to a minimal level. The business is still working to help my brother.
I have moved with my family to the UK in 2008 due to the political and economic problems, and since then I have worked as a self-employed. My work was mostly helped by the family business, which required a large amount of second hand computers, games consoles trading.
Towards the end of 2012 we could not find a reasonable work for my 18 years old son, so we have opened a small shop with self-employment on his name in Sunderland.
As it was mentioned above for the most of my life I was accompanied by computers, however I never learnt from the educational system. Due to my living conditions 2013 seemed to be the most optimal time to start learning in university, so I have signed up for the Sunderland University Computing section.
I hope that my knowledge earned from University will support us in the future to keep the family business running or even in its expansion, or due to the economic crisis we will be forced to close the business, hopefully we will be able to get a better quality and well paid job.
